Tim,
We are now trying to work on our musical! There will be a story
telling competition at school in December when EHP will be the demonstration
class. But we don’t have to follow the rules of the competition, so we decided
to do a fifteen-minute short musical as a try before adopting this idea to our
yearly presentation. I’m looking forward to this event.
This Thursday was my piano contest. I have been practicing hard since
last semester. Do you remember Buzz, from 120, who is also good at playing
piano? He participated in the contest, too! I was especially nervous because of
that. Unfortunately, I made a big mistake when playing the second song. I was
frustrated and disappointed down the stage. I felt really upset because I spent
a lot of time preparing for the one and only chance to perform myself on the
stage but I screwed up. I thought I would be the last place of the ten people
in my group.
Much to my surprise, I ended up having the second place! Turned out
that the other participants didn’t perform well either. Although I won the
second place, I know that it’s still way to go, and the results do not meet my
expectation. I know that I can do better.
Allison
Dear Allison,
ReplyDeleteSometimes we can be a little harsh on ourselves. If you thought that you screw up, but still got second place, maybe you didn't screw up as bad as you thought. Congratulations! Is that the end of the contest, or will you be moving on? Was Buzz the winner of this contest?
Doris mentioned that somebody would be doing "Into the Woods" in December. Will you and Candy be a part of that? Would that be the entire play, or just scenes?
I'm still trying to sort out who is doing what.
Tim
