Letter 24: the Class Chorus Contest

To Tim,

You may had heard that we had a class chorus contest just today, and we won the first place. Buzz and Aubrey won the best piano accompaniment and the best conductor. Here is the video of us in the contest: https://youtu.be/xjc7v5nlb0A

We practiced a lot, and we put a lot of effort in this event. Here's how our class choir worked out:

Conductor: Aubrey
Piano accompaniment: Buzz

Soprano:
Allison(-group leader), Megan, Doris, Selena, Cathy, Melody, Summer (Our teacher joined us! But she had to borrow the uniform)
Alto:
Candy(-group leader), two Vivians, Red, Angela, Tiffany
Tenor:
Melvin(-group leader), Samuel, William, Hugo, Ericsson

We practiced every "lunch time", in groups. At first, we couldn't remember the Japanese words. Then, we had problems because some of us can't find their notes. And we had the biggest problem, we have less people and smaller voice. Though there were so many things that let us fell hopeless, we still made it to the last and we did a great job.

Everyone did great!

Letter 23: The Class Basketball Game

To Tim,

As you know, we had the class basketball game just a few days ago. We won two games out of four and ended up winning the fourth prize.

Our team members:

There are three school basketball team members in our class who are all girls, they are Red, Selina, and Nini. Melody isn’t in the school basketball team, but she often joins the training. And Angela, who can runs really fast.

Ericson, William, and Samuel are the main members of the boy part. The girls above take turn helping the boys since we don’t have enough boys in our class.

So you can see that we score a lot when it’s the girl part, and then our girls go on the court again for the boy part.

Some of our players were injured, so our team wasn’t in a good mood for the third and fourth game, but I think we did a good job. The students in other classes were very surprised because they thought that we are only good at grades and English. Well, we proved that we can also be good at sports. I am really proud of us.

Letter 22: My Special Teeth

To Tim,

We had a great time having the NCAA "brackets" activity. We knew little about the teams though, I wish I had some information about them before we did the activity. And we have our basketball team in our class now that are going to compete against other classes'! I won't be in the game, so I'll be watching and cheering for my classmates. They will be successful, I believe, wish they do good on the games.

My little sister and I went to the dentist last Wednesday  and found out that she has a special kind of  teeth that I have, too. It is a teeth that has a sharp little spike on the surface of your teeth where you crush your food. When my baby teeth fell and my permanent teeth grew out, some of them appeared to be this kind of teeth. There would be a long time when I have to be careful not to touch the sharp part of the teeth with my tongue or else I would be hurt.

Can you imagine that I have my canines having these sharp spikes on the tip? I do. And
this makes them sharper than they have to be. Maybe I am meant to eat a lot of meat and be one of the nomadic people in Mongolia.

Though I like sharp teeth, they cause a little problem, too. If the spikes break off, there will be a small hole on you teeth that goes straight to your vines. And they break off REALLY OFTEN, which makes me have only four spikes left and I can't eat pineapples because it will hurt badly.
