Tim,
Frist, I would like to answer some of the
Questions.
1. Where is Jason going to attend school in
January? What will make this a “shocking” experience for him?
What should be his new baseball team?
Jason is going to Canada in January. The cold
weather and the passion for hockey there may make the trip a “shocking
experience”. The Toronto Blue Jays should be his new baseball team.
2. Why was the November 11th holiday first
created? What was it first called?
What are some of the names it is called today and where is it still celebrated?
What are some of the names it is called today and where is it still celebrated?
It was created to remember the men who had
been killed in the First World War. The holiday was first called “Armistice Day”.
The holiday is still celebrated in Britain nowadays.
3. What did Mr. Maher do to qualify for his
“free breakfast” on this holiday?
Mr. Maher had two years of service in
Germany. But they didn’t ask for any ID card or proof when Mr. Maher went for the
free breakfast.
Do you know that we students in 220 just LOVE food?
We are thought as to be always hungry because we often ask teachers
for snacks. And we almost eat ANYTHING. So, teachers bring snacks they don’t
want to class, and that means we are able to share the food during the class. We
then have the snacks happily while we pay a lot more attention to what the
teacher says than usual. (The teachers should bring food to us more often.)
I used to be someone who doesn’t eat much. But I suspect that
being in 120 and 220 is the main reason why I gained weight these semesters. In
fact, I was just eating kimchi as snack reading your letter. Do you know what
kimchi is? It is spicy pickled cabbage made Korean style. Have you ever tried
it? I like the ones flavored a little sour. But, of course, it sure is spicy! But
it is actually strange to have kimchi without anything else because it is often
served as a side dish. I don’t mind about that.

Dear Allison,
ReplyDeleteGood job on "The Paper Bag Princess".
Yes, I know about Kimchi. Did you know that there are many different varieties of Kimchi? I like the ones that are a little sour, but not too spicy. My stomach does't handle "spicy" very well.
